The feeding slot is perfect for my medium hair kitten! No food gets on her white fur, which was my original worry—but this feeder was perfect. The design is simple, clean, and very user friendly as well!
I love how easy it is to program. Its very solid and secure.
Down sides for wet food: you for SURE need a second set of the ice packs and a tray. It allows you to swap things out with fresh ones easily. For two cats the bowl for food is a bit small for sharing or eating together.
Slight design flaw. One dish will always be in the open position. That means food needs to be in all compartments or animals gonna be mad. Need to have a like closed position dish spot to be able to swap in new tray after last meal of the day.
This is a game changer. It can be used for wet or dry. It includes two sets of devices with water to put in the freeze and will last for many hours. You can use up to 6 meals so depends on what you need it. We set it up for both of them to get snacks thru the day. Love that they are stainless steel so easy to wash.
My cat has vomiting issues if she eats too much at once. To solve this problem I have to split her daily food into 6 small servings. The iPettie Donut Wireless Feeder has been working for us for almost a year! I load it in the morning, giving her the first meal in the open compartment and she knows when the other 5 meals are timed to serve. When I go away my cat sitter loads the feeder each morning as I do and my cat almost never has stomach issues. This unit is amazing! I have 2 plastic trays and just purchased the stainless steel tray.
